Summary (official text)
Some 2025-2026 Bronco Sport Vehicles may exhibit activation of the reverse brake assist feature with no objects behind the vehicle and a "Reverse Brake Assist" message displayed on the instrument panel cluster (IPC). This may be due to the software in the image processing module A (IPMA). To correct this condition, download and run the "IPMA - Image Processing Module A (IPMA) Software Update" application using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 19H406 and labor operations 12651D and IPMA.
